| Procedure: You provide a photograph by e-mail, snail-mail, or personal delivery if you are local. If you don't have, I can take one for you for an additional charge**. Charcoal drawings are done in black on a white paper or archival quality illustration board.

| Another method involves the classic technique of drawing on a toned paper and highlighting with white. For the sake of brevity, I refer to these as "Two Tones". They are done either in earth tones on toned paper with white highlights, or in black charcoal on gray paper with white highlights. |

| Procedure: First, we will decide what type of portrait it is that you would like (formal, informal, etc.), and discuss apparel, indoors or outdoors, size of portrait, complexity of background, etc. Once we have made these decisions and agreed on a price, we will have a photography session. This session can take as long as two hours for a single subject, during which time I will take several rolls of film and experiment with different poses, lighting and clothing if desired. |
| The next step will be to meet and go through the photos and decide which pose is best. Once we settle on a photo, or photos, I can proceed with the portrait. If necessary, I may take more photos at this time. |
| Next I will begin the portrait and before I commit to color, I'll have you approve the drawing. |
| The final art should be completed within a month after approval of this drawing. |

Full figure, additional persons, pets and objects will be quoted separately. Complex backgrounds will also increase the above prices. Travel, lodging, shipping and framing are additional. Sketches, photos and other materials used to create the portrait remain the property of the artist. Indiana residents add 6% sales tax. |
| All work is guaranteed, i.e. if you don't like it you don't have to buy it. However, once the portrait is accepted and paid for, there will be no refunds. |
| Delivery-The portrait will take from two weeks to 2 months to complete, depending on my workload and complexity of project. We can work out a timeline before proceeding. Customer pays shipping if applicable. |

*Suitable photo- Choose a good, clear photo(preferably 5"x 7" or larger) either color or black and white. Remember that this is a "what you see is what you get" situation, so make sure the photo you send me is one you really like. |
| **Additional charge - Charcoal/2-Tone pricesare based on you providing me with a photograph. If you would prefer that I take the photo add an additional $100 (this will increase if I need to photograph more than one person). Also note that all photos I take are for my reference and are not included in the portrait package.
